Martiria is an epic/doom metal
rock band formed back in the '80s and re-founded (after
a long pause) in 2002. Seven album published (last one R-Evolution, with ex Black Sabbath Vinny Appice - 2014).
The band was formed back in the '80s. At the beginning the
band was very much oriented towards Doom/Metal sounds such
as: early Candlemass and Black Sabbath. After releasing
just a few demos and featuring various musicians, in 1998
the members of the group decide to take a break for a while
in order to experience different projects. (continue) |

Tornano finalmente sulle scene i blasonati Martiria, band che negli ultimi anni ha letteralmente creato una scuola italiana dell’ Epic Metal cristiano tipico delle band statunitensi degli anni 8o. il nuovo album “Time Of Truth” esce sotto l’egida della storica Underground Symphony che ha patrocinato per la seconda volta la band romana dopo l’affondamento della promettente piccola etichetta Powerzone Records che aveva inizialmente annunciato la pubblicazione di questo platter diversi mesi scorsi. Con questo terzo lavoro ufficiale i Martiria entrano definitivamente nell’albo delle band italiane che hanno fatto la storia dell’ Heavy Metal epico in questo paese, e credo possano anche ritenersi definitivamente all’altezza del paragone con i loro maestri storici, gli americani Warlord, ai quali sono sempre stati accostati.
