Martiria

Founded in 1987 in Italy, they were able to get no less than Rick Anderson (Damien King III, ex WARLORD) for their musical visions. It is exactly this conjuring voice and the adding of all manners of classical instruments/choirs constitute a lot of MARTIRIA’s appeal. Epic arrangements and progressive song structures and many acoustic passages are able to captivate you throughout the playing time. If this gem would have been released in the eighties, you would bow down with awe and praise this as a timeless classic. (The Metal Observer)

Andy Menario (GUITAR)

Memories of a lost Paradise
(Menario-Capelli)
from the album "The Age of the Return"

Oh, yes, 'bout this we all agree,
it wasn't just a little apple,
even if we picked it from a tree.

Really, was a solemn pact made
that we weren't able to keep,
a matter of betrayed faith.

Hear God's voice!
Fear his rage!

Any fruit was ours, all the wealth,
Except for the one forbidden…
Peace, silence, eternal health.

"Take it" slowly hissed the snake,
"It's so juicy, why exitate?
He just fears your race to wake!"

Respect the pact!

Knowledge we wanted a and full knowledge we've gotten
Of the bad things on Earth not one we've forgotten.

Now that we know hunger, cold, pain and neglect,
still hopeless hopes are left.

Fast are passing by the years in this harsh land
aches the back under the farm work, bleed the hands.

Now that we know hunger, cold, pain and neglect,
still hopeless hopes are left.

Her beauty is fading away, but not her smile
Weakness helps a new wisdom to grow deep inside.

Short life of pain, just one regret,
the shame of a promise unkept.

Pain is needed
pleasure to feel,
hate is required
love to belive.

Oh, Eve is aging, but not for my eyes!

God still waits us,
keeps the garden,
where one day our
children will play.

Oh, Eve is aging, but so isn't our love!

And if I look into her eyes untouched by time,
I still see memories of a lost paradise.

Now that we know hunger, cold, pain and neglect,
still hopeless hopes are left.

Short life of pain, just one regret,
the shame of a promise unkept.
